About The Hub

The idea for the Hub was born in January 2002.

It was found that many business people seemed to be put off or daunted by the prospect of going to traditional networking events; and, as networking and word of mouth is so important for business in Cornwall it was decided that there was a need to create an environment where young people, or those new to business, could learn to network in a more relaxed environment with like minded people.

So in January 2003 the Hub was created with a spectacular launch at the National Maritime Museum where 120 people attended.

Since then the Hub has gone on to host a range of prestigious events across Cornwall at venues including the Eden Project, The Tate St Ives, Steins Seafood School, Lusty Glaze, The Knowledge Spa, Skinners Brewery, St Austell Brewery, Atlantic FM, Blue South and the Extreme Academy.

Run by a steering committee of dynamic people in business in Cornwall we aim to represent the needs and ambitions of our members by providing them with first class opportunities to share ideas and learn about business with other Hubbers.

We are unique as a business network as we are funded solely by sponsorship and private donations.
